Edgar Allan Poe's Death Day

Edgar Allan Poe died on this day many years ago (159 years to be exact). In celebration of his death I placed the tombstones in the yard. I have six tombstones and two obelisks. The tallest is over nine feet tall while the shortest is about 28 inches. I did forget to get some of the elements out but I only had time to put together these and get the inflatable up and running. I added a five foot spider web made out of orange lights to the window and another high watt bulb to the front so that all the tombstones would be illuminated. Now we can tell that everything is still on by the orange glow in the front room, a simple way to remember to turn out the lights at night. Notice the Crypt has not joined the ranks because it has not quite been completed. Hopefully I will soon be able to have it decorate the lawn.

Halloween Projects

We have been trying to get the Halloween projects moving forward. I have been working with Dad on getting the Fireflies working. We have most everything we need for the canopy that will support the fireflies. We have a skull that Scott is letting us borrow for the large crypt. I will make a wraith out of the talking head. I am going to have to make some adjustments to the talking skull so that it will be loud enough for our visitors. And I will be able to use the wire that Rob has passed to me to extend the microphone and the speakers. Here are some of the shots.
